Mike Davis

Vice President at Genie

 

TOPIC: Battery technology and its impacy on access equipment

 

Mike Davis is currently Genie’s Vice President of Engineering. After beginning his career with Genie in 1996 as a design engineer, Mike took on roles of increasing responsibility, including overseeing product design and global product management, as well as the businesses’ LEAN transformation, ERP implementation and the global trading model as the Vice President, Terex Business Systems and Terex Management Systems. From 2012 to 2015, Mike was the Vice President and Managing Director, AWP Asia Pacific, relocating from the U.S. to Brisbane, Australia, and then to Singapore. He then moved to Schaffhausen, Switzerland, in 2015, where he held the role of Group Vice President for Commercial Excellence, Marketing, and Project Management for the Terex Cranes segment, overseeing a variety of initiatives and programs, including a new global sales management system and global service parts distribution network.

 

Prior to joining Genie, Mike held engineering positions in the heavy truck manufacturing, robotics, and prefabricated concrete industries.  He received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Trinity College in Hartford, Conn., and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Terex at Austin.
